Travancinha Studio
Located in the village of Travancinha, near Seia, this project reimagines a former vernacular workshop as a contemporary music studio.
The intervention preserves the building’s humble rural character and granite materiality, deeply rooted in the architectural language of central Portugal. These local qualities are reinterpreted through a palette that blends French-Mediterranean warmth with subtle industrial precision, resulting in a dialogue between softness and structure, memory and renewal.
At its heart, the project features a calm access space that serves as a shared area for gathering and contemplation, where nature quietly enters through light, shadow, and texture.
Currently in the design phase, Travancinha Studio envisions a place where architecture, sound, and landscape coexist in balance, a contemporary interpretation of the rural workshop for a new creative purpose.
